web paje - hints and tips for newbies

web paje - hints and tips for newbies
Apologise - i was going to update this blog on a regular basis - and most of you will realise that it is over a month since the last blog. However there is a good reason for this. moving away from the 'what is a web site' information, for the past few months i have been 'studying' the phenomenon that is ‘ebooks’ !!!!!
For those of you not familiar with the term the wikipedia description is

“An e-book (also: eBook, ebook) is an electronic (or digital) version of a book. The term is used ambiguously both to refer to either an individual work in a digital format, or a hardware device used to read books in digital format. Some users deprecate the second meaning in favor of the more precise "e-book device". However the term interplay works out colloquially in the long run, e-books are an emerging and rapidly changing technology, and since at least 2004 have included newer experimental online magazines, pioneered in part by Baen's Books in their release of the first Grantville Gazette.” Go here for more information if you need it

I am constantly asked to subscribe to news letters offering free ebooks on every subject imaginable. OK – I leave my name and email address and then I am added to a ‘list’ for that newsletter and then I will receive losts of special offers, some free and others at a low price.
NB – all of the ones I have subscribed to ALWAYS have a clearly identified unsubscribe option – so no spam is involved [ note to newbies when I say spam, I don’t mean the fabulous tinned variety that is my favourite, but the spam as in sending un-wanted emails.]
Most of these companies / individuals are always stressing the importance of building a list of potential customers and then keep them happy with free offers in the hope that they will eventually make a purchase. There is also a similar market out there for ‘affiliate marketing’ and ‘adsense sites’.

A thought – each of these options will make me anywhere from a ‘decent monthly income’ to absolute fortune $ with lots of zeros.
Would it be useful to set up a site / forum where people who have been through a similar experience could post their comments. Hopefully most of them would be positive so we can all make a decent income. There might be people who have tried and failed for whatever reason. If they were willing to share these experiences, again we would all benefit.

I am not trying to ‘catch out’ any rogues in this game – no one forces us to make a purchase. I have found that most of the ones that I have been dealing with all seem genuine – I just thought that as ‘information is king’ then sharing your information with others is a good thing. If you have any comments please forward an email to info@web-paje.co.uk – I look forward to hearing from you soon

Regards

Peter

the beamish bugle

hi, its Sunday, (the day before work!!!!) done nothing exciting, BUT!!! after 1 year, I have a website up and running, WOW!!!, have sold 2 tiaras on Ebay - wonderfull. Went to the pub this after for a couple of noggins(as you do on a Sunday) so now feeling really relaxed after Sunday dinner at home |(which I made!) I LOVE Michael Jackson, and have just been watching the first 10 mins of a program all about his bodyguards-neighbours etc! had to come upstairs and join hubby!! how sad is that??By the way, pub was crap! local drunkard was on top form, local dog man went for a 10 mile walk with his dogs, the new bairmaid (who is 4 months pregnant) upped her top and showed the dog walker her tummy!! am I the one who is spaced out??, I much prefer playing on Crash Burnout 3, realy going great guns. My son has phoned me up during last week to let me know he has left his wife of 17 years, and is now living with a woman I dont know, who phones me up and wants to come asnd see me????? Where has my life gone? It is now 9.02pm, hubby is still on the computer staring blankly at the screen (mind you he did get the time to take our 2 Standard Poodles out for a walk in the snow!)1 credit!! They are called Luke and Lyon, and are about 9 years old, Lyon is going blind, Luke is just Luke!! Well, never mind work again tomorrow.I will pass 8 hours, sitting at a blank computer, no phones ringing, but getting paid for it non the less! what the hell?? Its a job!

getting back to Micael Jackson, do you thing he is innocent ? would love to hear you vibes
